Welcome to Redefining Heroes!

Redefining Heroes

We often glamorize heroes, not for their remarkable skill or feats, but for the wealth, power, or notoriety their achievements bring them. But these Americanized status symbols with great athleticism, reality show stardom, millions of social media followers with expensive designer possessions, outrageous behavior, and exuberant lifestyles are false symbols of heroism. We believe true heroes exhibit great intelligence, artistic genius, compassion, and a desire to give back to society without seeking anything in return.

These accomplishments are worth celebrating, and so, too, are the accomplishments of people you may not yet know about. People who quietly and tirelessly work to make the world a better place. We believe that in addition to the big-name heroes of our day, the unseen, unsung heroes and doers among us also deserve a shout-out, the people who value action over acquisitions.

"Redefining Heroes," a new podcast from Tyler Copenhaver-Heath and Kelley Kaylan, will bring front-and-center individuals who are doing great work to make a difference in their way, in their neighborhood, their communities, and the world. Cophenhaver-Heath and Kaylan, ASU grads, business executives, fitness buffs, and motivational leaders, are teaming up for this impactful project to redefine heroes as people who are more than money, celebrity, or power.

We want people to see that anyone can be a hero and to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to act. By sharing the individual stories of people who dedicate themselves to improving the well-being of others, Copenhaver-Heath and Kaylan hope to create a larger movement, encouraging people to inventory their passions and then commit their energy and talent to positive change.

Producer

Corree Sinkwitz is a kind and caring individual with a passion for helping others. She is deeply dedicated to giving back to her community and serving those in need. Corree spends time working with a variety of organizations to make a positive impact on the lives of those around her. Her selflessness, integrity, and big heart are the guiding principles in all her endeavors.

In addition to her charitable work, Corree co-founded and owns QuantumRhino, a start-up IT consulting business. Having spent over fifteen years working in corporate America directly for C-level executives, she observed an unremitting trend of consulting partners who served primarily as order takers, lacking strategic vision, integrity, and execution. Corree and her business partner saw an opportunity to create a company that focused on defining business process prior to the implementation and integration of software applications, with the intention of removing unnecessary steps and automating as much as possible.

Corree is a graduate of Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business where she earned her Master’s in Business Administration. Corree received her Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Media and Public Relations from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
